Oxide Cloud Services (OCS) provides a Cloud Operating Model deployed in South African data centres, supported by Data Science Engineers to meet the stringent service level agreements (SLAs) required by our enterprise customers. Our Cloud Platform is built with a ‘data-first’ approach on best-in-class infrastructure, utilising the same hardware employed by some of South Africa’s largest private sector organisations. OCS enables businesses of all sizes to operate on enterprise-grade infrastructure.

The platform enables high-performance workloads to harness best-of-breed technologies and best practices in a resilient manner. A key tenant of the design is the simple yet scalable architecture, which includes simplifying the storage networking fabrics and disaggregating the scaling of storage and compute resources. By adopting these design principles, we have created a modular, robust, scalable, and flexible core compute platform that forms the foundation for all Oxide Cloud Services.
The secret to a resilient platform is the data storage array. Our OCS platform is built on the undisputed leader in All-Flash Block Storage Arrays, which set the gold standard for Tier One application data storage. The arrays form the heart of our shared storage platform and incorporate innovative features such as storage optimisation algorithms, ransomware protection, and efficient data copy management capabilities. All workloads hosted on this platform can leverage these technologies.
